Development Opening
Mahitahi Hauora Board and
Leadership representatives
attended the dawn opening of
the 昀椀rst phase of Ngāti Hine
Health Trust’s new social housing
development in November 2024.
When completed, the Marohapa
Development is set to feature 35
homes, comprising two, three,
and four-bedroom units designed
to accommodate diverse whānau
needs, a community centre, and
an outreach clinic for whānau.

In September 2024, Mahitahi
Hauora introduced Community
Services Volunteer Days. Each
member of our team can spend
a day each year supporting
local charities or organisations.
So far, our team has chosen to
support the Portland Voluntary
Fire Brigade. We look forward to
supporting more organisations
and initiatives.
Accessible Healthcare
In December 2024, our
Partnership Services and Clinical
Hub teams attended the tlc4u All
About Accessibility Expo to kōrero
on issues impacting whānau
access to primary care services in
Te Tai Tokerau.
Our teams also attended the
Health and Lifestyle Expo in
April 2025 to speak to whānau
about our long-term conditions
and mental health and wellbeing
programmes.
